Title: Non-Uniqueness of Navier-Stokes Equations and Mikado Flows
Abstract: We will mainly read the recent paper by Coiculescu-Palasek on Non-Uniqueness of Smooth Solutions of the Navier-Stokes Equations from Critical Data. They recently constructed a BMO^{-1} initial data which admits two distinct smooth solutions.
Today, we will review Mikado flows, which play a critical role as a building block in convex integration techniques for fluid equations. We will discuss the motivation of the flow and how it is used in their proof.
